Entry Rules and material specifications:
 
  1. No entry fee for the photo contest
  2. There is no restriction on number of entries of single photographs in any categories. Photojournalists can send in multiple entries in photo story category too. Please send us your best work.
  3. Submitted images should be of minimum 300 DPI resolution or 3000 pixels in length
  4. Images should not be altered drastically, and retouching should be as per the accepted industry standards.
  5. Images submitted in each category should be numbered and captions of the numbered images should be attached in separate print out or saved in a word file in the CD.
  6. Images could be submitted either in CDs or online via email (detailed instructions given separately). CDs should be sent by courier or post to the MFI registered office.

  7. Entry deadline for submitting images is Thursday, May 31, 2012
 
Online submission (via email)
 
  1. Submitted images should have a maximum resolution of 1500 pixels and saved in jpeg 5.
  2. Make separate folders for separate categories (naming the folder according to the category names) . Save your pictures in the respective folders. When you have finished organizing all your pictures, place all your folders in one single folder (and rename it with your name) and zip the folder.
  3. Images submitted in each category should be numbered and captions of the numbered images should be attached in separate word document along with the email.
  4. Attach the zipped folder to your mail and send it to MFIcontest2012@gmail.com.  Write “Entry for MFI National Press Photo Contest 2012” in the subject of your mail.
  5. Hi-Resolution images of minimum 300 DPI resolution or 3000 pixels in length of winning entries will have to be submitted by participants who submitted low-resolution images through online process. Failing to do so within the prescribed time, will disqualify the entry from the competition.
  6. Entry deadline for submitting images is Thursday, May 31, 2012
